ABOUT THE CARROLLTONIAN PRESS:
Hi, I'm Emily, a Carrollton native and Historical Researcher. In 2010 I purchased my childhood home and adopted a rambunctious dog named Jack that needed to walk several miles daily. Together we have gotten to know every inch of the neighborhood intimately. I started taking pictures of the buildings I was curious about and began to investigate them and the people who made them special.
By 2017, I had filled an entire file cabinet with research that I had no clue what to do with. I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested, but knew that I couldn't keep so many terrific stories filed away. That is how The Carrolltonian Instagram account was born. The small community of initial followers grew steadily and today the neighborhood has a thriving page where we can gather to talk about our neighborhood and share our knowledge.
I am immensely proud to have contributed to the promotion and preservation of the history of Carrollton, but not quite as proud as I am to be a Carrolltonian. Thank you for allowing me to share with you the little slice of New Orleans that I love.

Carrollton ought to be good enough for any one to live in, and it is.
