The St. Charles street railway is the oldest operating street line in the world, carrying passengers to and from Carrollton since 1835.
The line began as a passenger train service that was conceived of by men who had invested in forming the town of Carrollton because they needed a way to get people from New Orleans to their town. Their company was called the New Orleans & Carrollton Rail Road Co. and the first locomotives were named The New Orleans and The Carrollton.
The Carrollton Streetcar Door Hanger pays homage to the Carrollton roots of the one of the most iconic symbols of New Orleans. It measure 16"x13" and is made of water proof vinyl board. Looks great inside or out and comes ready to hang on 'streetcar green' organza ribbon.
